Our Story

Every name has a story. This one is deeply personal.

Years ago, during a season of ministry transition, I found myself asking God what was next. My husband and I were leaving youth ministry, and I was facing the uncertainty of entering the secular workforce. I had no college degree, no clear career path, and I wondered what I had to offer.

As I prayed, the Lord brought me back to the story of Moses.

When God called Moses to confront Pharaoh, Moses questioned whether he was capable. He asked, "Who am I?" and "How will they know You sent me?" Instead of focusing on Moses' limitations, God asked a simple question:

"What is that in your hand?" (Exodus 4:2)

At that exact moment, I looked down at my hand. I was holding a computer mouse.

I smiled and thought, "It's a mouse." But almost immediately, I realized what God was showing me. What was in my hand wasn't just a computer mouse; it was the computer skills He had already given me. They weren't flashy or extraordinary, but they were gifts He could use.

With that realization, I went to a local staffing agency, tested into computer-related positions, and began a career I never could have imagined. From that point forward, every opportunity God has opened for me has involved using technology, creativity, communication, design, curriculum development, media, or digital tools to serve others.

IH3 Designs was born from that lesson.

IH3 Designs

The name IH stands for "In Your Hand," a continual reminder that God often begins His greatest work with what He has already placed in our hands. He doesn't always ask us to become someone else; He asks us to faithfully use the gifts we already possess.

The 3 represents the source of every ability and every opportunity: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. While the work may be accomplished through the skills in my hands, its true power does not come from me. It comes from Him.

As Scripture reminds us:

"Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit," says the Lord Almighty. (Zechariah 4:6)

IH3 Designs exists because of that truth.

Whether creating curriculum, designing graphics, building presentations, developing digital resources, or helping ministries and organizations communicate more effectively, my desire is to use what God has placed in my hands for His glory and for the good of those I serve.

Every project is an opportunity to remember where it all began: with a simple question from God.
